PLACING AN ORDER

If you have found the perfect piece, you can make your buying selection at any time – just click on 'add to bag' and follow the instructions. On request, we can alter the length of most of our pendant chains or bracelets. Please note that any alterations may delay dispatch of the item. Our rings are available in a variety of sizes, many of which can be resized by our craftsmen to ensure the perfect fit. Please refer to our detailed sizing guide below for more information.
Please be assured that we will be here for you every step of the way to make your buying experience as smooth as possible. All our prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and include Indian GST at the current rate.

DELIVERIES
​
Our expert courier service will ensure your jewellery reaches you as quickly as possible. Delivery is subject to stock availability and we aim to deliver within 5 to 7 working days. Customisation and bespoke requests may take an additional time.
Please be aware that all deliveries need to be signed for, and photographic identification is required. If you are not present at the time of delivery, our courier company will leave a calling card and you will be able to reschedule your delivery for a more convenient time.
ALTERNATIVE DELIVERY ADDRESS

You might prefer us to deliver to your place of work or to a relative’s home. This is no problem, but we may contact you in advance for extra security to ensure your package arrives safely.

DELIVERY TIMES
​
For deliveries within India, we aim to arrive 24 hours after dispatch during the working week. Please allow extra time on weekends, Bank Holidays and during our busy Festival Seasons.

FURTHER INFORMATION

Customer protection is important to us, therefore orders may be subject to security checks. This may cause a slight delay in the processing of some orders. We may need to contact you to carry out security checks - if we are unable to reach you using the contact details provided it will delay the dispatch of your order.

All prices on our website and our brochures are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR) and include goods and service tax (GST) at the current applicable rate. Please note that your payment card will also be debited in Indian Rupees.
As soon as we have confirmation that your piece of jewellery has been collected we will get in touch with you to advise an estimated delivery date.

RAKAM'S SERVICE
​
At Rakam, we offer a free cleaning service for all our jewellery. Simply call into our store and we will arrange this for you.
You will receive a valuation for insurance when you first buy your item, and we advise you to have this updated by us once every two years in order to reflect changes in precious metal and gemstone prices. This is a complimentary service and so during busy periods we kindly request your patience with this.

SECURE ONLINE SHOPPING
​
We want to make sure that our website is as safe as possible for you to use. We take security seriously and use industry standard technologies such as Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to protect sensitive information passed between you and the website. The use of SSL ensures your name and address are encrypted when submitting an online order form. You will notice the company logo shown on the address bar of your browser and by clicking on this, a window will be shown that verifies the website credentials and the 128-bit encryption that is in use.
Although no credit card details are stored on the website servers they are nonetheless hosted in a secure environment that is compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

WORKING OUT YOUR SIZE
​
You may already know your ring size, based on a ring you own that is a comfortable fit. Another fail-safe way to work out your size is to bring a ring that is worn on the same finger as the one you want to buy into the Rakam boutique and we will measure it for you. Alternatively, visit a local jeweller and ask if they might be kind enough to size your finger.
Fingers tend to be larger at the end of the day, so please bear this in mind when you are trying on rings. Do not try on a ring if your hands are cold because your fingers may be up to half a size smaller. A ring should fit snugly on your finger but still be loose enough to remove without too much tugging.

BUYING A RING FOR SOMEONE ELSE
​
Don’t let getting the wrong size put you off surprising someone. If you are unsure of the correct size we are happy to guide you through selecting an initial size, which can then be altered if necessary at a later date. This is, of course, with our compliments. In some cases the item may need to be re-made, which can take several weeks but we would be happy to advise you of the best options prior to purchase. We are also able to send you a complimentary ring sizer for reference.

INTERNATIONAL RING SIZES

The following ring size guide is perfect for women or for men looking to purchase a ring online, that are unsure of their exact size. If you have an existing ring that is a comfortable fit on your finger and doesn't slip off your knuckle, then that would be perfect to find your ring size. In order to find out your correct ring size, you should accurately measure the interior diameter of the ring

NECKLACES
​
Classic-length necklaces - 46 cm (18-inch) - are our most popular style. They fall just below the neck and slightly lower if a pendant is attached.
Our longer length necklaces are a versatile alternative. They tend to be between 99 cm and 109 cm (39 inches and 43 inches) and are designed to fall just below the bust.
If you would prefer a different length chain, we are happy to provide one upon request. This may incur an additional charge in some cases.
BRACELETS
​
Our bracelets measure an average 19cms (7-inches). We are able to shorten most bracelets for the perfect fit, but lengthening can be more difficult. Lengthening bracelets depends on the construction of the links, and may require us to make a new bracelet. Please contact us to find out more about our free alteration service.
